‘Regenerating the Church’ is the forward strategy of the Port Phillip West Presbytery, Uniting Church in Australia. The Uniting Church came into being in 1977 after the Methodist, Congregational and Presbyterian churches in Australia united. The Uniting Church is divided into state regions (Synods) and within states, areas are divided into regions called Presbyteries. The Port Phillip West Presbytery is made up of the western and north west regions of Melbourne, Victoria, all the way from Lorne in the south west, all the Bellarine Peninsula and Geelong, to the western edge of Bacchus Marsh, then to the north including Kyneton and Craigieburn, then to Brunswick and Northcote on the eastern boundaries. It’s a big presbytery! Read more about the Presbytery here.
